Things I've Learned at College

Here are my (Melanie's) things that I've learned since being at college (none of which are related to classes):

- If you are running late to class, the bus will be running late also
- When a bus is absolutely jam-packed, the bus driver's favorite phrase becomes, "Push back and get close, we can squeeze a few more on."
- If you ask a boy what he's majoring in it will almost always be Engineering
- If you ask a girl what she's majoring in it will almost always be Elementary Ed
- If you aren't majoring in Engineering or Elementary Ed you are in the minority
- There is absolutely nothing to do in Logan
- Finals Week is one of the worst things ever invented, who wants to have a whole week dedicated to studying and tests?
- Spring is a non-existent season in Logan
- Even if there is a church right across the street from you, because you're in the singles ward they will send you to a church 15 minutes away
- College students are pros at finding free things, and you'd be surprised at the things you can get for free
- People who live in housing that's considered "off-campus" can be closer to the actual campus than some of us in housing considered "on-campus"
- Forgetting your debit card at a ski lodge is bad
- Red-box movies and $5 pizza make a good date
- One of the most popular forms of entertainment is Wednesday night Country Swing Dancing
- If you don't go to Country Swing Dancing those who do go will feel the need to convert you into going
- Make sure you always turn off the oven
- The popular time for fire drills is 1 am
- Going jeeping in the snow at 11 pm and getting stuck is quite the way to spend a Friday evening
- Boys are just as confusing in college as they were in jr. high
- Enough sleep is harder to get then an A in a class

I think it's time to write again. Kajsa, quit spending so much time doing whatever it is you might be doing (I'm wondering if it involves any one?) and write!

    Love ya both!
